How it all started...
Reveal Community Church was birthed out of a message God asked Pastor Larry to share with a group of 12 people in a Caribou Coffee. This message is part of the heart of this church, a body of believers – because it’s about letting God love us so we can REALLY LIVE! God wants it to go well for us in this life. He is GOOD! He is LOVE! – not just loving, but He IS love. When we get a revelation of how deep, how wide, how high, how long, how extreme His love is for us … how that love is beyond what we can even think or imagine … we begin to see He wants good things for us! He wants to show Himself strong on our behalf … He wants us to REALLY LIVE … 1 John 4:9 says “In this the love of God was manifested (revealed, demonstrated, made known) toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might LIVE though Him." IN THIS the love of God was revealed or shown – that Jesus came to earth, lived among us and gave His life for us –that we might LIVE though Him. That word translated LIVE means to enjoy REAL LIFE!
We met each Sunday afternoon, moving from place to place, in community centers, different homes, parks and even a church in Waukee that allowed us to have our meetings in their children's ministry building. We sent out messages to everyone weekly so they would know where we would be that Sunday afternoon. We kept growing and finally decided we needed our own church home and found our first building at the end of 2017. We outgrew that and moved into the building where we are currently holding our services at 205 Northeast Dartmoor Drive.
Where are we headed?
We are already feeling the stretching and growing of the Reveal CC family and it won't be long until we will need to expand to our next location. Our children's ministry is thriving and growing and we will need a larger facility to allow for growth! How exciting!
