Prayer - REVEALED - Connecting Heart to Heart With God

This is the fourth message in our Revealed series - what makes us who we are as a church and what God has called us to be and do. The Lord gave us four pillars to build Reveal Community Church upon – the Word, Worship, Prayer and People. Today's message is on Prayer REVEALED. Jeff Helgren Sr., is one of the elders and also over the prayer ministry and prayer service on Thursday nights at Reveal Community Church . In this message Jeff shares his heart regarding prayer in an interview with Pastor Larry McGinnis.

Some of the topics covered are: What is prayer? Why do we pray and what is the purpose? The vision for prayer at Reveal Community Church as well as a discussion on The Lord's Prayer based on Matthew 6:5-13.

We believe that prayer is a connection to the heart of God and a daily practice Jesus taught us to stay close to the Father -- to not only make our requests known or intercede for others, but for us to hear Him speaking -- prayer is a two way communication with God.

·      We believe God has given us authority on this earth 

·      We believe we are created in His image and our words have power to create, build up and tear down -what we speak, declare, PRAY

·      We believe that praying the Word of God is declaring His promises – as a greater TRUTH than what we see, feel or think

·      We believe the angels harken to the voice of His Word – that they are waiting for the Word to be spoken – PRAYED to go and do
