FOUNDATIONS - Principles of Christ
Hebrews 6:1-3 says "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection from the dead and of eternal judgement."
In Matthew 28:19, some of the very last words Jesus spoke before He left earth were Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This is so important it was a last command, a directive – a fundamental. BAPTISM does mean to be immersed, to be submerged, to go completely under – to be all in – to DIP fully.
